![]() Especially as said screenings took place after the televised showing and just days (or hours) before said program would be available on various Video On Demand services. Since the film had already debuted to huge numbers in the United Kingdom, around 8.4 million viewers, with presumably big numbers in the states as well (PBS hadn't released ratings as of this morning), one would presume that such a theatrical screening would be purely for hardcore fans. As noted in the above headline, the tickets were $15 a pop, with a $2 service charge for each that rendered the screening into a $17-a-ticket event. Since I had avoided the initial airing on PBS and had miraculously avoided any spoilers, this was a "new to me" screening.
